AVANOAvano
Resilient communications

Resilient: messages that keep moving when the network does not.

Resilient is communication that survives a cut: a mesh between devices, store and forward, delivery over radios that lose most of what they carry, and orders that arrive in order of urgency. It is the most built of the products, all of it measured in simulation and on our build server, none of it yet on a maker's board or a real radio.

01: Built

What exists of Avano Resilient today.

Mesh and store and forward

Two devices exchange messages through a third that holds only sealed blocks; a device passing between two others carries their messages one way and the delivery reports back, reading none of it.

Measured
Radios that lose what they carry

Messages are cut for radios that carry only a few hundred bytes, with spare pieces: over a simulated radio of 200-byte pieces losing one in five, twenty messages and their reports crossed in sixteen seconds.

Measured
Two radios

A device with two radios sends on both and keeps the first copy: with one radio jammed outright everything crossed the other in about nine seconds.

Measured
A plan of radios

Since 5 November 2026 up to four radios to one neighbour can follow the plan an operator writes: primary, alternate, contingency, emergency. One transmits at a time, each taking over only after the one before it has been on the air and gone quiet, and all fall quiet again once the primary is heard. In our tests, with four radios between a ground station and a drone jammed one after another, each order crossed once on the radio the plan named while the radios after it sent nothing.

Measured
The internet road where the operator puts it

Since 5 November 2026 an operator can place a device's internet relay first, last (used only once the device's own links have gone quiet) or not at all for a mission. A device kept off the internet does not contact it, not even when it is switched on.

Built
A record of every change of road

Since 5 November 2026 a device's software can ask in one call whether the device can communicate and on what, and keep a signed record of each change: when it fell silent or spoke again, when its internet road was withheld or reached, and which radio took over.

Built
Orders by urgency, with an end

Orders carry the four military precedences and an end: a flash order goes first, and one that arrives after its end is never handed to the device's software.

Measured
Nothing lost to a lock or a crash

A device switched off, locked or crashed before its radio carried what it sent still delivers it, each message once, after it starts again.

Measured
Two phones, no internet

Since 4 November 2026 the Android app opens a local road on one network: on two emulators on our build server, with the relay stopped, two paired phones joined by a code one showed the other carried a text each way over their own sealed link. Not yet on real phones, over a hotspot or over Bluetooth, and not yet on iPhone.

Measured
Offline reconciliation

Since 5 November 2026, when a member comes back after being cut off, what it reports is set beside what the others said while it was away and this device's own report; where they differ, every side is shown and none is chosen or overwritten.

Built
02: Next

What we build next, with no hardware.

A real radio's harnesses, with a maker.

03: Needs

What it still needs, and from whom.

A real radio's maker, so the same tests run over a real radio rather than a simulated one.

04: Status

Avano Resilient: built.

Pre-release. Built and tested in our own laboratories: not deployed with any customer, not audited by a third party and not certified. The engineering record behind every line here is in the source, under docs/CORP/DEFENCE-INTELLIGENCE-LINE-2026-10-29.md.
